Regina Carter

This eclectic jazz violinist is coming to the Southland for a concert at Pepperdine University in Malibu this Sunday. This video is of Carter performing some time ago with the Ray Brown Trio. Carter is currently working on a new album, "Reverse Thread," that is scheduled to be released in January. The new CD by the classically-trained Carter will feature a collection of pieces based on African folk melodies. We spoke to Ms. Carter about her new CD, where she's been and where she's going.
